Join or host a live multiplayer session

Join a live quiz room with a code, or host one and start it for your group.

To join a session:

1. Open the link from the host, or go to /rooms/join.
2. Enter the 6-digit Room Code.
3. Press Join Room. If you are not signed in, press Join as Guest or Sign In to Join.
4. Wait in the Waiting Room until the host starts.

To host a session:

1. Go to Home (/dashboard) or /chat, press Practice, then Multiplayer.
2. Under Play mode, choose I'm playing to take part, or I'm Hosting to run it on a shared screen without playing.
3. Follow the steps to choose your questions.
4. Press Create Room.
5. Share the code shown in the Waiting Room. Players can also scan the QR code.
6. Press Start Revision once someone else has joined.

You need at least two people in the room to start. If you leave as the host, players see Host Disconnected and the session ends for them.

Multiplayer or Challenge: Multiplayer is live, with everyone playing at the same time. A Challenge lets people play at their own pace before a deadline.

If the code does not work, check it with the host. Room not found means the room no longer exists or you do not have access to it. Join as Guest can be unavailable, in which case sign in with an account.
