Shiken

Build a learning path

Put your content, videos and tasks into an ordered learning path and publish it.

  1. Press Create in the top bar and choose LEARNING PATH. Shiken creates a draft straight away and opens the editor at /org/{slug}/admin/products/{id}/learning-path.
  2. On the Overview tab, name the path under Path Details.
  3. Open the Path tab.
  4. Press Add content, search, and pick an item.
  5. Press Add video to add a video step.
  6. Press Add task for a tick-off step. Fill in Task, and optionally What to do (optional) and Link (optional), then press Add task in the window.
  7. Drag the cards into order and press Save order.
  8. Press Preview to see the path.
  9. Press Publish.

You need to be an admin of your organisation. Learning paths are part of every package.

Steps unlock one after another. A learner opens a task from the path and marks it done, which unlocks the next step.

Let AI choose the steps. On the Path tab, type the goal of the path and press Generate. AI picks and orders from your organisation's existing content. It does not create new content. Pressing Regenerate replaces the path it built.

Adaptive rules. For question sets, courses, roleplays and polls, you can set a Pass mark. Then choose If below → to send learners to remedial content, or Passing skips to let them skip later steps.

You cannot publish an empty path. A path needs at least one step. You can also publish from Availability on the Overview tab. Published paths appear in the learner experience.

If your organisation's package does not include a step's content type, such as roleplay, learners skip that step and can still finish the path.
