Create AI slides or import a PowerPoint
Generate a designed slide deck with AI, or bring in a PowerPoint and keep or rebuild its slides.
- Press Create in the top bar and choose AI VIDEO & SLIDES. In many organisations this tile is called SLIDES & VIDEO.
- Choose AI Slides.
- Under Pick a style, choose a look and press Next: Content.
- Describe the deck in Topic. Add a PowerPoint, PDF, link or library item under Sources (optional) if you have one.
- Set Slides and Content density, then press Continue to review.
- Edit the outline and press Generate deck.
- The deck opens in the editor at
/org/{slug}/admin/content/slides/{id}.
To import a PowerPoint, add the file in step 4. Then:
- Tick Import this PowerPoint into the slide system. If you leave it unticked, the file is only used as reference for a new deck.
- Choose Rebuild in Shiken style for editable slides in your chosen style, or Keep the original slides for exact pictures of your slides.
- For Keep the original slides, press Add the PDF export of this deck and choose the PDF, then press Import slides.
Both routes keep slide order and speaker notes. An old .ppt file only gives its text. Save it as .pptx to bring images and the theme across.
If your Create window has an Import link, its PowerPoint option opens the same steps.
You need to be an admin of your organisation. Slides are not part of the LMS/LXP base package. The tile is not shown there, and PowerPoint under Import shows a padlock.
Decks have no Publish button. To share one, press Share in the editor and switch on Enable sharing. The Export menu offers Present, PDF and PowerPoint. Your edits save automatically.
